 Who We Help

As many of you know, our primary role is to preserve the welfare of former British Crown servicemen and women and their direct dependents. In addition, we are part of a larger movement to increase the awareness and relevance of Remembrance to younger generations

We are now in the fifth year of our Kenyan Askari Appeal. This helps thousands of Kenya old folk, who served in the Crown Forces- predominantly in the Second World War. They really are a forgotten generation in Kenya and, being pre-Independence, they benefit from no welfare support from the Republic. Working in partnership with the Kenya Armed Forces Old Comrades Association, we disburse individual welfare grants to bona fide cases. To date we have helped over 2500 individuals in this way.

In addition, our Special Projects team is creating posho mill projects as stand-alone businesses for retired servicemen and women to run. We now have mills operational in Kisumu and Kakamega, and new projects underway in Kapsabet, Kericho and Kitui.
